As part of our continued support for the European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS), Leeds City Council, in partnership with the Home Office, is organising two information sessions on Monday 09 March to provide EU citizens living in Leeds, and the surrounding areas, with practical advice and guidance on applying for residency via the EUSS and Windrush schemes.
More details about the events can be found below:
09 March, (12:00-15:00) Reginald Centre, 263 Chapeltown Rd – This is a free drop-in event which will include a presentation about the EUSS and Windrush schemes and the differences between applying for each scheme.
09 March, (17:00 – 19:00) Banqueting Hall, Civic Hall – This event will include presentations from the Home Office on both the EUSS and Windrush schemes. There will be further presentations from the French Consulate General and Leeds City Council, who will present about their programme of work to support European communities living in Leeds. N.B Places for this event are limited. If you are interesting in attending please register here: bit.ly/eusettlementschemeleeds
Leeds has enjoyed a good EUSS completion rate, with recent Home Office data showing that uptake in the city is far higher than other cities in the region.
However there are still gaps for over 60+ and under 18s. In addition there are a low number of applications from the French and German communities.
Please share details of these events with any relevant people or networks. For more information about the European Union Settlement Scheme and the support offered by Leeds City Council, please click here.
